It's a beaaauuutiiiful Thanksgiving Day in Winter Haven, Florida.

We awoke to the sound of birds singing loudly outside the guest room we are staying in. After taking a second to get oriented I looked out the window and saw St. Francis, the patron saint of animals, feeding the birds.

Though he was quite busy, he took a few moments to bless us and our travels. He reminded us to be kind to all animals we may meet on our journey. Tiki Jr. told him all about Icy up in Ft. Wayne and how much Icy loved hockey. St. Francis bid us farewell and seemed to disappear.

Just moments after St. Francis left, our host Vicki appeared and told us to watch out the windows for a Thanksgiving gator!

This made us very nervous cause we thought we were gonna have to wrestle a gator for dinner. We apparently didn't need to worry cause Bob does all the gator wrestling in this lake according to Vicki.

After an hour or so we still hadn't spotted a gator and felt both relieved and disappointed at the same time when Vicki finally informed us we were gonna have turkey and not gator after all. She was foolin with us! Ahha it's gonna be like that is it? :) No worries we can take a joke!

Just before the feast we took a few pictures with Vicki's festive holiday ornaments. Tiki Jr. especially liked the pumpkins and told Bob & Vicki about Gene the Pumpkin Man in Mattawan, MI.

We made short work of the Thanksgiving meal and felt quite ready to take a nap.

Someone had apparently sampled the pumpkin pie earlier in the day. Bob said it was us!

As I was getting ready to question Tiki Jr., Vicki winked at us and pointed at Bob..... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
