When
we arrived in Winter
Haven, Florida, Tiki Jr. and I were feeling
a little home sick for Hawaii so Vicki put on a video
about the island of Hawaii to cheer us up.
Don't get me wrong, we are enjoying our journey and
travels around the U.S. There is just something about
the island of Hawaii that makes our hearts long to be
there when we are away.
Tony created an extensive website
about the island of Hawaii if you want
to learn more.

The islands are rich in cultural traditions, legend
and beauty. These can only truly be understood and appreciated
by visiting Hawaii.
The beauty of the hula dancers at the Merrie
Monarch Hula Festival, the month long
Aloha Festivals, the Spirit of Aloha and Hawaii
Volcanoes National Park are just a few
of the elements that make Hawaii special to us.

Tiki
Jr. and I enjoyed sharing stories about our home with
Bob & Vicki and invited them to come over and visit
us in the future when we have completed our journeys.
Vicki's oldest son Rich lives over here in Puna too.
Speaking of visiting Puna, Aimee & Bob from Atlanta
(almost next on the itinerary) are going to meet Tony
on Sunday! We hear Bob is in to metal so they should
get along fine.
And AND...Jim "Tikiyaki Sr." Bacchi (Tiki
Jr.'s pop & the first guy I visited in LA) is gonna
hang out with Tony in a few weeks on the island. Tony's
gonna show him a few cool spots on the island like Pololu
Valley. Tony's favorite!
