Orchid Heaven

Akatsuka Orchids is a one stop shop for all things orchid and a regular stop for tour buses coming back from the volcano area. They have one of the largest orchid collections on display in Hawaii.

Tiki Jr. was napping in the car so we just let him rest. That wine sure can sneak up on ya.

RG was very excited as he exclaimed the unintelligible scientific names of each type of orchid, while moving from one to the next. As you can see he was in Orchid heaven.

We left him alone in the gift shop for quite some time. When we finally found him he was gazing upon this calendar.

When he noticed we where there he commented on how lovely the flower on her bathing suit is then turned and casually wandered off with a shrug.

Tiki Jr. and I looked everywhere for a Roaming Gnome size lei. RG was quite taken by this orange one.

I recommended this great book on growing orchids. RG apparently already has a copy.

When, at last, Tony and I had grown tired of looking at orchids, RG asked if he could spend a few more minutes alone here amongst the anthuriums.
