In the middle of the night, we were awoken from our slumber and taken over to Heathers parent's house for a potato & caramel fondu party. We had never had potato and caramel before. It was good. While there we met Toby, the lovely birdie, who rents a room here. Toby is giving us a shaka in the shot above. (Potato & caramel fondu reference is from a Stranger's With Candy episode)

The party started getting a little wild at about 3 a.m. A friendly game of truth or dare ensued. Since we werent really sure what truth is, we took the dare, which was to pose next to the fireplace. Tiki Jr didn't care for this one bit but I assured him that it was electric in spite of his objections. (I think Heather may be pushing Tiki Jr's buttons. Bad Heather!)

The next morning, bright and early we went over to The St. Julian Winery in Paw Paw, Michigan. (Less than 10 minutes away from Heather's house.) Not only do they make excellent wine but awesome sparkling juice too!

Unfortunately we didn't have time for a tour and we were glad that bird wasn't hungry!

Yup, Heather was really pushing Tiki Jr's buttons for this shot. He was so nervous around the firewood pile, he could hardly stand up. I guess I better stand up for Tiki Jr from now on. He isn't the brightest block but he deserves to be treated kindly and we do need to make sure Tikiyaki Sr. doesn't get upset over all the teasing. ;)

It's the strangest thing, around here the leaves fall off the trees every year! One of the fun parts to that, probably the only fun part... Is jumping into the piles! (Raking leaves for cash wasn't fun but getting a few bucks as a kid was.)

It was a little itchy though.
