What Happens In Vegas...

My Host Is: Cherry Capri

Cherry saved the best for last. We had done a fair bit of partying, catching shows and sightseeing by this time and Cherry said it was time to pay a visit to the Kings!

Our first stop was the
Hawaiian Marketplace to pay tribute to King Kamehameha. There are also statues honoring him in Honolulu, Hilo and Kohala in Hawaii.

And guess who else we ran into there? The other king, Elvis!!! Wow...I guess he really is alive.

Did you know that they call Las Vegas "da ninth island?" It's because there are so many Hawaiians residing in Las Vegas.

Later in the evening, Cherry dropped us off at a Gentleman's Club - the notorious Crazy Horse and warned us to be good. WOOHOO!

We told her we would take a cab back to her place and not to worry about us. In retrospect that wasn't such a great idea.

Ok..Tiki Jr. and I have no memory of many of the following events:

We had made friends with a group of college guys from Nebraska somewhere, at the Gentleman's Club. The last thing we remember is someone saying "Last Call" and the guys asking if we were done partying yet. Tiki Jr. shouted Viva Las Vegas in my ear and the rest is a blur.

The college guys obviously took us to visit the National Register Landmark -
The Little Church of the West - the oldest Wedding Chapel on the Strip. This is where Elvis and Ann Margaret were married in the movie "Viva Las Vegas!"

I'm not sure how we made it back to Cherry's place but when we woke up on the doorstep at first light both of the pictures above were in an envelope that said "Congratulations Newlyweds! Have a great honeymoon!"

Feeling a bit humiliated, Tiki Jr. and I spent the rest of the day avoiding each other...let's just say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Amen.

We sure had a tantalizing time at the Crazy Horse before our memories get fuzzy though!

(Bud I called the chapel and they have no record of you guys being married. You may wanna be a bit more careful in the future!)

(Thank you for playing Cherry! I knew a visit with you in Vegas would be priceless. Call me if you ever hit the Island of Hawaii.)
