| When
we finally felt 100%, Cherry took us out one morning for a bit of golfing at the
old Stardust Country Club (It's now called the Las
Vegas National Golf Club). Tiki Jr. may be able to drink me
under the table, but when it comes to golf, I stomped him. I gotta admit I enjoyed
doing it after the drinking game ended so dismally for me. The Las Vegas
National Golf Clubs website has this to say about itself: "A favorite hangout
for Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, a long-time local, remembers playing the piano
in the lounge for his famous guests. With its floor to ceiling windows, it is
easy to envision high rollers and movie stars admiring the view from a smoke-filled
restaurant, with the soft lull of a piano filling the air." "In
1995, the movie Casino, starring Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone, was filmed at
Las Vegas National. The Casino house, sits off to the left of the #1 tee box,
between #18 and #1 fairways." "The Las Vegas National Golf
Club is a true Las Vegas landmark." Too COOL! |
