Hoover Dam from Nevada side with Lynn & PK. We rented a car for the week. It took us ALL OVA! We got lost many times thanks to Tiki Jr. Almost ended up in Utah, thanks to Tiki Jr. The Hoover Dam was absolutely magnificent though when we finally arrived there.

We walked and touched the toes of the eagle winged angels. It was made to withstand any destruction and be found by future survivors. I wonder if they tested that theory out on the missile ranges?

On our way to the Grand Canyon we ventured to see dinosaur footprints! Ukipila footprints made from an explosion billions of years ago. It was amazing to walk where they roamed and to see where their kaka (for lack of a better word) still lay amongst the ruins. This fascinated Tiki Jr. and he wanted to take some to show Tikiyaki Sr. one day in the future. Not sure why.

Our visit to The Grand Canyon took one full day but it was worth every second! PK helped ease Auntie to the edge of the cliff. He gently told her to go to the corner and hold on to the railing. She would be safe.

She mentioned that perhaps there might be an earthquake and she would fall to her death down to the bottom of the canyon below. She didn't. Instead....she stood there and opened her eyes in awe. She stood marveling at the beautiful mountains and the colors in which glowed from them.

"My FEAR of heights is Forever GONE!" she exclaimed. "Forever GONE...Forever Gone...forever gone..." echoed off the canyon walls.

As we left the Grand Canyon Tiki Jr. wondered if people committed suicide at the Grand Canyon. A quick google gave us this answer: www.usatoday.com/travel/news/2006-11-23 (Hmmm...morbidly fascinating information.
