Cute Pink Haired Chick

You may notice that the journey is out of travel order. We are hoping we will receive the photos and visit from Chicago (Please?) & North Carolina soon...

It was a short hop up to Virginia from North Carolina but we were still happy to get out of our cramped ole travel case. There has gotta be a better way to travel. Perhaps if we were turned in to Flat Stanley's..er..I mean Flat Bud & Tiki. Probably a bad idea.

We just happened to arrive in Virginia in the coldest wettest part of the year. IN a small town known as Franklin. Our first stop was this welcoming sign of Virginia!

Hey...someone told me that Virginia is for Lovers! Or was that some other place?

We were then off to meet our host family! A busy family of 5.

As soon as we arrived, this cute Pink haired chick snatched me up and took me to the neighbors where I ran into some cousins of mine. I found out later that she is Cristal.

We vigorously apologized to her for the months and months and months and months it took us to finally visit her.

When we met this fellow, Tiki Jr. seemed a little confused and asked why his sign didn't say "Welcome to Franklin". I reminded him that my sign was a custom job by Stebbins Studios out there in Puna.

These other fellows were quite jolly and laid back. I gave them a quick rundown on my travels which the guy with the book took note of.

The other fellow just smiled and told me to try one of his fine mushrooms if I wanted to travel without leaving the yard. I declined and assume that the one "resting" probably had eaten a mushroom or two already.

Tiki Jr. kinda felt left out and decided to start bothering Cristal to find out what there is to do in the little ole town of Franklin Virginie.

"Well, there is a bowling alley" suggested Cristal.

Tiki Jr. perked right up, grinned at me and told me I was lawn mower bait now!

Notice my proud smirk and Tiki Jr's. look of dismay! Clobbered him again! Course everyone else in the family clobbered both of us but that's not the point!

Cristal felt bad for our little tiki pal so we all went home and called it a night.
