| Further
downtown, we visited several historic sites and scenic locations, such as The
Evansville Coliseum, The Four Freedoms Monument, The Old Courthouse, and the Old
Post Office, where we tried to film inside the building and got busted by The
Man! Matt was outside taking establishing shots, while
David, Tiki Jr, and I were setting up for the video shoot, and some big, burly
security guards cornered us and had us taken to the Old
Jail House! The three of us spent some time in a dank cell, and we
didn't even have a harmonica to play! Matt was only able
to raise enough bail to free David, but he went and pleaded for our freedom. Luckily,
a kind lawyer named Bill
Woods, of the Woods & Woods law firm in Evansville, was able to get us
freed. Whew!
We went to look at the Ohio River, which runs by Evansville,
and we saw the casino boat from Casino Aztar. Unfortunately, we had no money,
so we couldn't go on the boat. We went to look at an
old train at The Evansville Museum, but we couldn't go onboard because the museum
was closed on Mondays... and we had no money for the entrance fee. We
also went to look at the old World War II ship tank, the LST, which had a museum
of its own, but, again, we were out of luck. It was closed on Mondays, too...
and we didn't have enough money to go in the museum, anyway. |
