'Twas the day before Christmas and everything was completely crazy in Atlanta. For some reason everyone seems to have waited until the last minute to buy gifts. Hmmm...ok.

Punagirl offered to assist her friends at a kitchen store in Decatur, GA called Taste. Decatur is a couple of miles outside of Atlanta and has a cute little downtown square. It is very reminiscent of Hilo and has an old town feel. Every Thurs in Nov / Dec the merchants on the square have discounts & serve pupus & wine and call it "Terrific Thursday".

Taste is owned and operated by Steve & Leslie Ring who are good friends of Punagirl & Bob. Located at 416 Church St, Decatur, GA, 404-370-1863, they were profiled in this past Sunday's NY times in a segment called "36 Hours in Atlanta". Cool! (That'd be Sunday, Jan 7, 2007)

Since Tiki Jr. showed no interest in helping and just nodded uhuh when asked if he wanted to come along we left him at home hanging out with his new tiki pals.

I happily volunteered to run the register for a little while.

Steve & Leslie offer a traveling gnome service! For a mere few dollars Gnorm & Gorm could be traveling the world with you. The very thought of standing on a lawn seemed to irritate them both now that we have met.

They had heard stories of gnomes traveling but thought that they were simply publicity gimmicks & folk tales. I have now filled their heads with dreams of travel and adventures. Won't you make the dreams of a gnome come true?
